Getting caught up in drama is something that we all are vulnerable to from time to time; it just seems to make sense to be clear and directive about it;-) It helps us remember when we are teetering on the edge!

"If you want drama, go to the movies." You are hilarious, wise and directive, all in one short sentence. Thank you. I will remember this advice when the cloud of drama threatens.

You've hit it on the head. Walk in joy in all things! Recently, I was asked to listen to and pray for someone who disclosed some stuff that was difficult to hear. For the first time I felt that the stuff I was listening to was like an ocean wave that washed over me without getting me wet. I am sure it was the Holy Spirit super dooper raincoat that kept me dry. So cool!
I was moved and prayed and then I was able to exit without being drowned.

You are right, Jill. Devastation happens and it happens when we least expect it. Developing strong habits of centering and forward movement go a long way to keeping things in perspective when the unexpected shows up. Thanks for the comment.

"Serenity in chaos, loss, and grief." I'd like to see that in a headline in the New York Times or Washington Post. Thank you for the good news.

Lest people who don't know me think I am joking, think again. I am dead serious.

Most people pity the loss in Haiti and think they are immune to that type of devastation.

Tell that to the people around the Gulf Coast in Florida where oil has massacred their livelihoods. Tell that to retirees whose 401 K's have been slashed because of the economic tsunami that refuses to stop undulating across the world.

And yet, truth is not negotiable.

You are a strong voice for the truth that IS. Thanks, Marianne.
