Blocking the flow

There doesn't seem to be enough month at the end of the money.  It doesn't look like there are enough jobs to go around, making it difficult to be joyful when the economy is in crisis.  The news suggests a lack of intelligent, compassionate leaders of our countries and speaks of rumors of many kinds of diseases that threaten to destroy our whole planet!  There seem to be many things to be afraid of.  There appears to be a myriad of unsafe situations, everywhere you turn.  People everywhere apparently want to take advantage of you, steal something from you, destroy your way of life.

Yikes!  This kind of world suggests a need to hunker down, protect what you have, don't trust any one, stash away your stuff so no one else can get it, and by all means avoid people who are showing signs of sickness and disease so you don't catch anything!   Fear.  Darkness.  Death.  How does the old saying go?  "Life is a B_____[mess], and then you die!"  I guess if I believed all that I would feel helpless, hopeless and depressed, too!!!

This kind of fearful, self protective, limited thinking is a choice.  It is not the best choice.  It is not the only choice.  It is not even true in my humble opinion.  As a matter of fact, most of the debilitating things we believe and the limiting stories we tell ourselves are pretty much always based on faulty thinking or faulty understanding.

Here is the truth as I see it:
Take a moment to look at the constantly generating life force that flows quietly in the background, so quiet and unobtrusive and dependable, that we can miss it if we are not paying attention.  The sun comes up every day.  The seasons come around every year.  The earth rotates, gravity holds us down.  Our world is so full of natural resources that the supply never ends.  Water always flows to the sea.  You cannot destroy water.  Freeze it, it gets hard; burn it up, it evaporates; it becomes clouds, it rains and waters the earth.  The cycles of life are constantly moving forward.  The only thing you can do to water (temporarily) is block the flow.  The energy is always there wanting to produce the ever refreshing flow.  If you block it, it will just find a new outlet, because you cannot destroy it.

We are one with that same energy.  We are the same as the water.  That source of life is inside of us, evidenced by every breath we take (which we tend not to notice because it is so steady and regular).  That life force does not only bring abundance, it IS abundance.  It is unlimited supply.  It is whole, perfect and complete.  If allowed to flow freely, it will produce anything we need and purify our bodies.  But, we block the flow with our beliefs of shortage and lack and poverty, and the resulting actions of hoarding and fearful avoidance.  While these limiting beliefs are personal, they are also universal to the majority of humankind.  So the results we see are from our collective fear and negative beliefs.  They can only be changed one person at a time.

At the moment, these beliefs manifest themselves in countries who hoard out of fear and a need for power over other countries. They terrorize out of their own fear and take captive their own people. These beliefs rear their small minded heads in world poverty and hunger and disease epidemics.  They act themselves out in our personal lives in similar ways.  It doesn't have to be this way, and the only way to change it is for one person the change the way he or she thinks.  Begin to identify yourself with that source that is within you that flows from an unseen, but proven place.  Move with that flow by aligning your thoughts with abundance and thanksgiving for the energy whose nature it is to provide and nurture and give life.  Begin by acting like this giving, perpetual energy that keeps on providing and never is depleted.

Scatter joy, donate unneeded items, share a bit of encouragement with a sad friend, forgive someone that you are at odds with.  When you give of yourself and your possessions, you begin to unblock the flow and the flow becomes a never ending fountain that springs up from within you.  Walk in that revelation.  The more you use this muscle, the stronger it gets.

What an inspiring call to others! I declare that I will act like this. I will not stop scattering joy,I will not hoard my energy, my possessions and my excess. I will not live in hopelessness, fear and despair. I will not kill the spirit of the living God within me that is as indestructible as water. I will unclog all drains inside of me that threaten to stop the flow of the best of me to others and the world. I will exceed myself so that I can get out of the way and let the energy flow.
Thank you for this manifesto of release.

Well, Jill, you sure seem to understand the power of words! When we speak something into the universe, the energy goes forth and finds a place to rest and it begins to take hold in our lives, so we can make the changes we want to make one decision at a time, one day at a time.
If we could only grasp this concept, we would understand how negative words of poverty and sickness and fear weaken us and tear us down, and those around us, just as surely as positive, faith filled words build us up!
